Information for Kurdish refugees wishing to become a teacher in secondary schools in the UK The UK Kurdish Studies & Student Organisation (KSSO) looks for the Kurdish refugees with a qualification equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree (BA) or recognised teaching qualifications from their home country for attending a programme of work and training for refugees at London University in order to become a teacher in secondary schools in the UK Fees There are no fees for refugees in this programme. This work and training program is a full-time programme of study and paid employment in secondary schools. Who is it for? Residents in the UK from a refugee background* who are:
* Able to live in or near London to work and study during the programme What does it offer?
What is needed to be part of the programme?**
Time: Up to one year.
* ‘Refugee background’ includes: refugee status (under the 1951 Convention) ; those granted Exceptional Leave to Remain, or Humanitarian Protection /Discretionary Leave; former asylum seekers granted Indefinite Leave to Remain; and British/EU citizens (refugees prior to acquiring citizenship) Documentary proof will be required. ** Qualifications must be recognised by the National Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) who will require proof that these qualifications are held. *** London University can arrange for candidates to acquire an equivalent qualification If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, then please send your CV to the following email address mc@ksso.org.uk or Janroj@hotmail.com
